Stuffing Waffles with Maple Hot Sauce Drizzle

Turn Thanksgiving leftovers into golden, crispy waffles. The stuffing crisps up in a waffle iron, creating savory pockets that beg for a fried egg or a sweet-spicy maple hot sauce drizzle.

Ingredients

Waffles

  • 4 cups leftover stuffing
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth as needed to moisten
  • Nonstick cooking spray or butter for greasing

Topping

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce more to taste
  • Fried eggs optional
  • Fresh herbs parsley or thyme, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a large bowl, mix stuffing with eggs. Add broth a tablespoon at a time until mixture holds together but isn’t soggy.
  • Scoop about 1 cup of stuffing mixture into waffle iron and press firmly. Cook 5–7 minutes, until deeply golden and crisp.
  • Repeat with remaining mixture.
  • Stir together maple syrup and hot sauce. Drizzle over waffles. Top with fried eggs and herbs if desired.

Notes

This works best with stuffing that has cooled and firmed up. Add extra broth if it’s dry, or extra breadcrumbs if too wet. Toddler-friendly tip: skip the hot sauce and just serve with plain maple syrup for a sweet-savory treat.
