Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

This recipe is for a juicy steak with a flavorful chimichurri sauce made with fresh herbs, garlic, and red wine vinegar. The steak is seasoned with salt and pepper and cooked to perfection on a cast-iron skillet or grill. The chimichurri sauce is drizzled over the sliced steak for added flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound of steak ribeye, sirloin, or flank
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Season the steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill over high heat.
  • Add a tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet or grill and place the steak on it.
  • Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet or grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  • While the steak is resting, make the chimichurri sauce.
  • In a small bowl, combine the chopped parsley, chopped oregano, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, and olive oil.
  • Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin slices.
  • Drizzle the chimichurri sauce over the sliced steak and serve immediately.
