Roasted Chickpeas

This recipe is for crispy roasted chickpeas that are seasoned with a blend of spices. They make a great snack or can be added to salads, soups, or grain bowls.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can of chickpeas 15 oz
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Drain and rinse the chickpeas in a colander. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Add the chickpeas to the bowl and toss them until they're evenly coated with the spice mixture.
  • Spread the chickpeas out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Roast the chickpeas in the oven for 20-30 minutes, or until they're crispy and golden brown. Shake the pan every 10 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  • Remove the chickpeas from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy as a snack or add them to salads, soups, or grain bowls.
