Lavender Lemonade
This recipe is for a refreshing and sophisticated lavender lemonade. It combines fresh lemon juice, granulated sugar, water, dried lavender buds, and ice cubes. The lavender syrup is steeped for 30 minutes before being strained and combined with lemon juice and water. - 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6-8 lemons
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 cups water
- 1/4 cup dried lavender buds
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lavender sprigs for garnish
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and 2 cups of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the dried lavender buds. Stir to combine and let the mixture steep for 30 minutes.
Strain the lavender syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Discard the lavender buds.
Add the lemon juice and remaining 4 cups of water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
Chill the lavender lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the lavender lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh lavender.
