Homemade Graham Crackers

These homemade honey graham crackers are a healthier alternative to store-bought crackers. They are easy to make and perfect for snacking or serving with cheese and dips.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter chilled and cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Add the chilled butter to the bowl and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  • Divide the dough in half and roll each half out on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  • Use a cookie cutter or knife to cut the dough into desired shapes.
  • Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and prick each cracker with a fork a few times.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the crackers to cool completely on a wire rack before serving. Enjoy!
