Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 cup thyme syrup see recipe below
  • 2 cups soda water
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish

Thyme Syrup Recipe:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh thyme leaves

Instructions
 

  • In a large pitcher, combine the grapefruit juice and thyme syrup. Stir well to combine.
  • Add the soda water to the pitcher and stir gently to combine.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour the grapefruit thyme spritzer over the ice.
  • Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh thyme.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Thyme Syrup Recipe:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the fresh thyme leaves to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  • Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the thyme flavor has infused into the syrup.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the thyme leaves.
  • Store the thyme syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
