Ingredients
  

Berry Mixture

  • 4 cups mixed frozen berries blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter diced
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, toss berries with granulated sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Spread evenly in baking dish.
  • Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add diced butter, blend until coarse crumbs form.
  • Sprinkle crumb mixture over berries, covering evenly.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes or until topping is golden and filling is bubbling.
  • Cool slightly before serving with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Ensure baking dish is deep enough to contain berries and juices. Can be made with fresh berries for a different texture.
