Creamy Tomato and Basil Pasta

This pasta dish is made with a rich and creamy tomato sauce that's flavored with fresh basil and garlic. It's then tossed with spaghetti and topped with Parmesan cheese for a comforting and satisfying meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 2 tpsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes to the saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the saucepan and toss to coat with the sauce.
  • Serve the pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
