Creamy Tomato and Basil Pasta

- 1 pound spaghetti
- 2 tpsp olive oil
- 4 cloves 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Add the crushed tomatoes to the saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
Stir in the heavy cream and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the saucepan and toss to coat with the sauce.
Serve the pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
