In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Pour half of the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the batter. Drizzle half of the melted butter on top.
Pour the remaining waffle batter on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Drizzle the remaining melted butter on top.
Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
Serve the waffles warm with cream cheese glaze, if desired.
