Cinnamon Roll Waffles

These cinnamon roll waffles are a delicious twist on classic waffles, with a cinnamon sugar filling and optional cream cheese glaze.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted

Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Pour half of the waffle batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the batter. Drizzle half of the melted butter on top.
  • Pour the remaining waffle batter on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Drizzle the remaining melted butter on top.
  • Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the waffles warm with cream cheese glaze, if desired.

Cream Cheese Glaze:

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  • Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
  • Gradually add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the glaze reaches your desired consistency.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm waffles and serve immediately.
