Banh Mi Pork Sandwich

This recipe is for Banh Mi Pork Sandwiches, which are made with marinated and cooked pork slices, pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro leaves, jalapeño slices, and a spicy mayonnaise sauce. The pork is marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger before being cooked in a skillet. The mayonnaise sauce is made with sriracha sauce and lime juice. The sandwich is assembled by spreading the sauce on the inside of a French baguette and topping it with the cooked pork and other ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. pork tenderloin sliced into thin pieces
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tpsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 4 French baguettes sliced in half
  • 1 cup pickled carrots and daikon
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 jalapeño pepper sliced

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Add pork slices and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork slices and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and lime juice.
  • Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the inside of each baguette half.
  • Top with cooked pork slices, pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro leaves, and jalapeño slices.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Banh Mi Pork Sandwiches!
