Oatmeal with Berries and Nuts

A nutritious and filling breakfast, cook oats with milk or water, then top with a variety of berries, nuts, and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup oats
  • 2 cups milk or water
  • Assorted berries such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
  • Assorted nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pecans
  • Honey or maple syrup for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, bring the milk or water to a boil.
  • Stir in the oats and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the oats are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the oats cool slightly.
  • In a bowl, combine the cooked oats with a handful of assorted berries and nuts.
  • Drizzle honey or maple syrup over the top for added sweetness.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your nutritious and delicious oatmeal with berries and nuts!

Notes

Note: Feel free to customize your oatmeal by adding other toppings such as chia seeds, flaxseeds, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
