If September had a crunch, this would be it. Thin slices of apple, kissed with cinnamon sugar, crisped to perfection in the air fryer until they practically shatter in your mouth. They’re sweet without being cloying, warm without being heavy, and have that “just one more” energy that makes the container mysteriously empty.
The beauty here is the balance between cozy and effortless. There’s no baking marathon, no trays crowding the oven — just a few apple slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon-sugar doing their thing while the air fryer hums quietly. The result? Snackable autumn that fits into a Tuesday afternoon as easily as it does into a fall picnic spread.
They’re perfect straight out of the basket, but also ridiculously good crumbled over oatmeal, tucked into a lunchbox, or served alongside a cheese board when you want something sweet to break up the brie. And if you happen to “taste-test” half the batch before they even cool? Consider it quality control.

Cinnamon Sugar Apple Chips (Air Fryer)
Ingredients
- 2 medium apples Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Pink Lady work well
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar or coconut sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Wash apples and slice very thinly (about 1/8-inch) using a sharp knife or mandoline. Remove seeds.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Lightly sprinkle both sides of the apple slices with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches).
- Air fry 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until crisp and lightly golden. Watch the last few minutes closely to avoid burning.
- Let cool — they’ll crisp up further as they sit.
Notes
• Adjust sweetness to taste or skip sugar for a naturally sweet chip.
• Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (if they last that long).
